Hibiscus Cafe: Delightful Vegan Eats in Philadelphia

I ordered a surprise bag with Too Good To Go and I was blown away by the flavor. If everyone cooked veggies like this way more people would eat vegetarian. I had some rice and the curried kale and chickpeas 10/10. They also have a ton of fresh juices. I was SO happy to see soursop or guanabana. I got that and the strawberry lemonade both were amazing. Definitely check this place out! Everything was so flavorful.

food is always so good! very consistent, and service is friendly and fast. I regularly order the spicy vegan cheesesteak, curried kale chickpea platter, and smoothies. also prices are very reasonable. grateful for this neighborhood gem.

Wonderful experience, the juices were refreshing and the food tasted amazing! The atmosphere and kindness in the space was so uplifting, I left smiling and excited to go back to try some other plant based menu items!

Hibiscus Cafe located on Catharine Street, right off of Baltimore Ave. Hibiscus has very good high quality food that is made with care. The professional staff seem like they love their job and want to be there. Keep up the good work

I ordered this to be delivered to the 30th train station. I was in Philly for my commute to see friends and wanted to see if Philly has a vegan cheeses teak. I really enjoyed this meal, but wish I could have tried it straight out of the kitchen. I could tell that I wasn't really getting the best tastes with the sandwich having cooled down. I wanted to travel to this location, but decided to have it delivered after asking a Philly native. I was told that the restaurant was in West Philly, and they themselves didn't feel safe there and advised I don't go there. Proceed with caution.

Great place to eat healthy vegan food. Love the variety and the portions. The price is also right on point. Staff is friendly!

It's always a pleasure to step inside and be greeted by Earl, a wonderful man who goes above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. This dish is carefully crafted to order and ranks among the top 3 Vegan cheesesteaks, with perfectly cooked seitan that is tender and bursting with flavor. The ideal blend of cheese, fried onion, and peppers creates a harmonious balance. We also indulged in the coconut kale soup, a consistent favorite that never disappoints, along with a refreshing fruit punch smoothie that ranks among the top 2 in all vegan establishments, in my opinion. Additionally, the vegan jerk wrap featuring seitan and the vegan quesadilla are standout choices. This is my preferred spot when seeking a quick, affordable, and outstanding meal. I have been a loyal customer for years and, on this occasion, decided to dine in. While we usually opt for takeout, the food is consistently delicious, offering great value every time.

I hadn’t been here in quite some time, but was in the area so I placed an order. I had the curried kale and chickpea platter and it was delicious. The food is seasoned well bringing out the flavors of the items. I ended up mixing it all together since the flavors complement each other well. I also tried both the strawberry and mango sea moss smoothies. They were good, but the platter was the star. If you want Caribbean vegan food this is a good option.
